In what promises to be the most important gathering of black trade unionists in the Trump era, CBTU will hold its 47th International Convention May 23-28, 2018, at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace in Lake Buena Vista, FL. A special session entitled, Right-wing Populism in the USA: How to Understand It; How to Fight It," will open the convention on Wednesday, May 23rd. That frames the focus of the 2018 convention, which will stress voter mobilization and civic engagement — beyond Election Day.
